NVQ3 Occupational Health and Safety

Summary course information

This flexible course, accredited by City & Guilds, is conducted by professional discussion, largely on a one-to-one basis. Students are provided with a complimentary set of NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate course notes and have the benefit of mentoring sessions and tutor support to assist with building domain knowledge for this award.

Price on application. Individual student starts are available.

Who will benefit from this course?

This course is suitable for competent persons that assist organisations with hazards and risks that are less complex than that encountered by specialists following a Level 4 NVQ. The domain knowledge for this qualification is broadly that expected for the NEBOSH National General Certificate.

When and where will courses be held?

This course can start at a time to suit you. Although we offer a high degree of flexibility, we encourage students to complete within 6 months. The tutor usually inducts candidates at their workplace and agrees an assessment plan to suit their specific workplace operations. Much of the mentoring is conducted in a student group at a suitable venue provided by us. It is expected that most students attending group mentoring sessions will be at different stages of Award completion.

Course details

On request for enrolment you would be sent a ‘Pre-Enrolment Assessment to complete, to help ensure you can meet the evidence requirements for successful completion of this programme. If appropriate, this would be followed by enrolment and a two to three hour induction. At induction, your allocated assessor would explain the NVQ process, step-by-step, such as evidence gathering, planning, and building domain knowledge. Any initial concerns or queries raised at induction would be addressed by the assessor.

This NVQ3 Award comprises five mandatory units and any 2 from 4 optional units.
