Summary course information
Essentially, this one-day course comprises the environmental domain knowledge element for NVQ4s in waste management.
The course will be fairly informal with a mix of presentations, exercises and a DVD. It will run from 9am until 4.30pm with 15 min breaks morning and afternoon, and a 45 min break for lunch at around 12.45pm. The venue and refreshments are to be provided by the client.
The course content can be varied slightly or specific elements may be covered in more or less detail, subject to the needs of those attending. The entire course notes (100 pages+) are provided on the day.
The price (on application) is usually charged per course, with a maximum class size of ten. Grant funding towards this course is possible, subject to qualifying conditions.
Who will benefit from this course?
This course can be used to support domain knowledge for all NVQs in waste management up to Level 4. In addition it is useful as a stand-alone course or refresher for waste managers and supervisors.
When and where will courses be held?
This course is run usually on an in-company basis, although open courses are run occasionally. Therefore, subject to tutor availability, we can make this programme available to organisations at a time to suit them. The venues and refreshments are to be made available by the client.
